The Stiramatic upgrade is available on nearly all new Original and Heavy Duty Stira. Many older Stira can get a retro fit upgrade to automate their Stira.

The Stiramatic upgrade brings push button automation to the Stira folding attic stairs, This compact easy use system is contained within the frame space of the Stira meaning you lose no attic floor space.

With this upgrade we can change the way we manufacture our stairs as the mechanical limits of high ceilings and spring-loaded trapdoors are no longer an issue.

With the spring loaded arms gone we also have more room to accommodate more unusual sizes.

Safety built in

We have spent considerable time ensuring our Stiramatic system continues in our tradition of the highest quality and standards. The system features intelligent safety awareness, by constantly measuring its progress the system can recognise when something is jamming or pulling on the trapdoor.

This means if anyone was to accidentally get a finger or hand stuck in the trapdoor whiles its closing the Stira will know this and perform an emergency stop.

Works even in a power cut!

All attics contain vital systems in the home that need to be accessed at all times, the Stiramatic system comes with a emergency battery backup that allows the Stiramatic to be opened should there be need to access the attic during a power cut.

Please Note: The Stirmatic upgrade requires a standard 3 pin plug socket in the attic within 1 metre of the intended opening. Stira fitters are not qualified electricians and cannot carry out this work. Please arrange for a qualified electrician to install a plug in the attic prior to fitting the Stiramatic as it requires power during the install.
